Edinburgh Natural Skincare Company

ENSC select packaging that fits with its use of natural ingredients and ethos of minimising the environmental impact of its activities.

The company has focussed on minimising packaging and products are primarily packaged in sturdy glass containers, or metal tins.

These materials offer robust product protection in transit, are easily recycled and even re-used. The store also accept old containers from customers for re-use!

Bottle of Ginger

The new community drinks company based in Bridgeton, Glasgow, aim is to change local ‘juice’ culture by involving the local community in challenging consumption habits - re-defining the product and re-thinking the processes involved in the chain of soft drink manufacturing.

As well as using bottles with high recycled content, they collect the empty bottles for reuse when stock is refreshed, which will have an estimated 80% reduction in packaging use when compared with single-use glass bottles.
